I'm searching for some local land where I can sustainably grow fruit and berry bushes and trees as well as ornamental plants for indoor and landscape use.
I'm ideally looking for a parcel of land I can grow and propagate various unusual fruits and berries as well various other ornamental plants. I plan on erecting at least one temporary structure like a greenhouse as well as a compost pile. The largest piece of equipment I plan on using is a truck of my own to transport my product out of the nursery. I would like to field plant but it is not crucial to the ambitions I have in mind. It would be great if the site had electrical and irrigation already.
My farming experience is minimal at least conventional farming. I have an education in environmental horticulture and 3 years experience in the nursery and arborvitae trade. I like to think I am knowledgeable about soil and how to build healthy microbial life as I am not the biggest fan of bringing in fertilizers as they leach into the water systems.
I plan on erecting at least 1 temporary structure, a composting area as well as an irrigation system. Hopefully there is water and electric on site. It would be nice to designate a portion of the land to field planting but that is not crucial. I am looking for a symbiotic relationship with the soil I set up shop on.
