Looking to Lease Land – 1+ acres

Description:

I am looking to lease land to test perennial grasses for bioenergy production and hybrid panel board production. I am looking for either a short or long-term lease of 1+ acres up to 10 acres. I will seen access to water.

Who I am and What I'm looking for:

My company, Hexas Biomass, is a 100% woman-owned WA State company that produces perennial grasses for bioenergy production and hybrid panel board production. I am looking for land to produce test material from different types of grasses and their various ecotypes. We currently have a supply contract with IKEA in Europe for hybrid wood-grass particle board production. I will soon have similar contracts in the US and need land to grow grasses to test yield, propagation techniques, and mechanical/physical/chemical properties of the grasses produced.

Farming Experience:

I have been growing perennial grasses for the past 2 years with support from my agronomist. Their experience is described below: Dr. Michael Nicholson – Agronomist/Advisor. Dr. Nicholson is a professor of biology at Oxnard College and expert in human development and performance in agriculture. He has consulted with Amgen, Aroenergetica, AgCo, and others on the optimization of agricultural yield trials, performance improvement, and business processes and root cause analysis in agriculture. Dr. Nicolson also is an expert in the production of giant reed and other closed-loop biomass crops with direct experience in the development and application of performance and quality improvements in crop production. Dr. Nicholson has direct experience microbiology (mycology & plant pathology), genetics (molecular and phylogenetics), botany, and ecology. Dr. Nicholson received his PhD. from The Pennsylvania State University. John Carroll – Lead Agronomist. Mr. Carroll has more than two decades of experience with giant reed and other bioenergy crops having successfully cultivated them around the world. Mr. Carroll has been responsible for development and implementation of large-scale agricultural systems, including the design and implementation of biomass energy systems focusing on low-impact, sustainable, and carbon negative plant based electrical power generating projects. Mr. Carroll holds several patents related to giant reed propagation and production. He received his agronomy degree from the University of Hawaii.
