Looking for Several Families to Join us in Developing a Regenerative Cooperative Farm in Pierce County

Description:

We are looking 2 - 10 acres for our "homestead away from home", whether it be raw land or land with a house, lease or purchase. We are interested in cultivating veggies and berries using no till, sustainable methods. In addition we plan to raise both layer and broiler hens on pasture.

Who I am and What I'm looking for:

We have been gardening at home for 10 years and are raising our second flock of chickens. We are looking to grow/raise a large portion of our family's food using regenerative farm practices like no-till, and rotational grazing. We have two young kids are are excited to get them more involved in producing their own food. If we are able to purchase a property we would love to offer this as a cooperative homestead and other people could pay a membership to participate in the homestead away from home lifestyle and produce food in a supportive community. We would also be open to leasing space to a farmer who's desires would match up well with want we want to produce. Connect with us if this is something you would be interested in!

Farming Experience:

We have raised vegetables in raised beds at our home and community garden plots. We plan to grow a market style garden using no till methods, tarping, and wood chip mulched rows. We would like to raise broiler and layer hens in portable hoop house style chicken tractors. Eventually we would be interested in adding sheep, goats or pigs.
